Material Sciences Corporation (MSC) is pleased to announce that the organization formerly known as New Star Metals is adopting Material Sciences Corporation (MSC) as our new name. After acquiring MSC in March 2014, it became apparent that the superior brand recognition of this 64-year-old industry leader could be applied beneficially to our entire family of companies. Our three MSC businesses in Canton, MI, Elk Grove, IL, and Walbridge, OH and the original New Star Metals businesses known as Canfield Coating Company, Electric Coating Technologies, and Premier Resource Group have come together as one company – Material Sciences Corporation.
Under the MSC banner we are a more dynamic force than ever in the metal products and processing sectors. MSC boasts a fresh business culture and an exciting array of product applications that brings superior value to our customers. We have already made substantial upgrades to information systems, manufacturing infrastructure, and relationship management which are delivering increased productivity and efficiency. Going forward, our team will continue to push the frontiers of lightweighting, corrosion resistance and noise/vibration/harshness control.
